Shopmium Users’ Choice: our audience’s favorite products
Our Shopmium community now represents 10% of UK households, who rate and comment on the products they discover and test via our mobile app. Reviews now play an essential role in the shopping experience. In 2020, 87% of people have consulted customer reviews and 78% trust the reviews they consult according to a study for Opinion System.

A preference for premium convenience products
Nestlé’s Starbucks by Nespresso, John West’s Steam Pots with tuna infusion, and the artisan Italian pasta brand La Famiglia Rana’s fresh-filled Ravioli, were among the list of consumers’ most popular brands last year according to products purchased and reviewed through the Shopmium app. The results also highlighted Brits’ affection for sweet treats with Pladis Global Flipz Milk Chocolate and Britvic Tango Orange Original coming out as favourites.
“We launched the Users’ Choice 2021 Awards this year as a way of celebrating some of the best brand products in the marketplace and to showcase what it is that UK consumers are really looking for on supermarket shelves right now. There was a definite trend for premium convenience throughout 2020, as consumers sought tasty, quick meals to cook at home. About the methodology
Shopmium “Users’ Choice” were awarded to the products with the best average rating given by the Shopmium App users in 13 categories. Only campaigns that took place during the 2020 calendar year and received a minimum of 150 ratings from buyers were taken into account. Click here to know more.
